Keith Anderson was born in the small town of Miami, Oklahoma with his parents, brother, and various foster children that his parents helped. Growing up in the rural town, Keith found he was talented at nearly everything he did. He graduated high school and attended Oklahoma State University , where he graduated with a degree in Construction Engineering at the top of his class with a 3.9 GPA. While in school he placed second in the Mr. Oklahoma bodybuilding competition, earned a spot in the Oklahoma All-State football team as well as a spot on the Kansas City Royals draft list.

Despite his success with school and sports, Keith’s biggest love was always music and singing. He recognized this even more after a shoulder injury ended all hopes of becoming a professional baseball player and he turned to music. Still, he put his musical talent on the back burner and focused on more realistic goals. After his graduation in 1990, Keith took up work at a construction engineering company and later attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School for a degree in physical therapy.

However, a career in music excited Keith more than his studies and he finally decided to pursue his dream. He moved to Nashville in 1998 and began playing in the numerous clubs. In 2000 he started a band. A short time later, after winning the 10th annual Jim Beam Country Band Search at the Wildhorse Saloon, Garth Brooks and George Jones recorded the hit, “Beer Run,” which Keith had co-written with several other well-known songwriters. In 2004, Gretchen Wilson added Keith’s song, “The Bed,” to her album, Here for the Party.

With a substantial following, friends in the industry, and an amiable personality to go with his musical talent, Keith received several offers from recording labels. He finally signed with Arista Records and released his debut album, Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll, in 2005, including the hits, “Pickin’ Wildflowers,” and “Every Time I Hear Your Name.”

Currently, while not touring and songwriting, Keith is working on new material for his sophomore album due out later this year.
